Maia Hermosa

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Before establishing Supermaya, I held the posts of Art Director, Account Director, and Project Manager from 2011 to 2017 at Hwang Concepts, a branding and design agency based in Hong Kong with clients in luxury, hospitality, retail, tech, education, and finance. This experience taught me valuable lessons in people skills and overseeing large-scale branding projects covering brand strategy, naming, identity development, and activation. I worked with Hwang Concepts to set up a new company, BrandCafe.me, where I was Design Director from 2017 to 2021. I graduated with a BFA in Visual Communication from the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts.

Apart from working on consultancy projects, I am currently occupied with book donation drives for The Eleanor Library (TEL), located in Mobo, Masbate, Philippines—home to my family and where my experiences in youth shaped my outlook in life. A portion of proceeds from Supermaya projects contribute to the development of TEL and the fulfilment of its mission.

The Eleanor Library (TEL) - established 2018 in Umabay Exterior, MOBO, MASBATE

We hope to connect schools with book donors and assist the Department of Education (DepEd) in their campaigns to promote reading and lifelong learning habits in children.
